Port Blair is a popular tourist destination and it is the capital city of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The Island is surrounded by rugged coastline and tropical forest but despite the fact for having hot and moist biome, this Island has a picturesque environment. Viper Island, this island was a site to imprison the convicts before the Cellular Jail was constructed. Radhanagar Beach, this is a beautiful beach voted to be the best beach in Asia by the TIME 2004. Cellular Jail, also known as Kala Pani was used by the British to imprison political prisoners, today; this site serves as a museum. Havelock Island, this island is the largest of all the islands in Andaman. Port Blair has several appealing beaches that are serene and beautiful including various beach activities like parasailing, banana boat ride, as well as underwater and water activities like scuba diving, sea walking etc. The capital offers tourists with a fulfilling holiday experience; be it with families, couples, honeymooners or adventure enthusiasts. Board your flight to Port Blair On arrival at Port Blair Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative (outside the airport) who will transfer your hotel. Upon arrival, proceed for check-in at your hotel.
After some rest proceed to Corbyn’s Cove beach. Thereafter, proceed to Cellular Jail, a place of pilgrimage for all freedom loving people. One can also view the history of the heroic freedom struggle which is brought alive in a moving Light & Sound Show at the Cellular Jail. Return to the hotel late in the evening.
After breakfast, transfer to the jetty to board the ferry for the journey to Havelock Island to visit one of the best beaches in Asia – Radhanagar Beach. Return back Port Blair in evening. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at hotel.
The voyage begins with a mesmerizing scrutiny in a boat to under-water marine life and rarest varieties of corals by glass bottom boat and snorkeling in the North Bay. After North Bay, proceed to Ross Island, the erstwhile capital of Port Blair during the British regime. The island presently houses the ruins of old buildings like Chief Commissioner´s House, Government House, Church, Bakery, Press, Swimming Pool, Cemetery, etc. and all in dilapidated condition. In the evening return back to hotel.
The day’s program begins with the sightseeing tour in and around the city like Fisheries Museum (Aquarium)-exhibits species of marine life peculiar to the islands, Anthropological Museum – displays tribal essential and artifacts, Naval Marine Museum (Samudrika) – gives a good retrospect of the history, shells, Corals marine life, geography and archaeology of these islands. Chatham Saw Mill. Evening is free for Shopping.
